HOPE COLLEGE, HOLLAND MI.
In this intense all day
seminar you will learn basic and advanced techniques
for nature, landscape and outdoor photography.

and examples. A complete set of seminar notes
is included. If you want to jump start your photography
and learn professional techniques for creating
memorable images, then this seminar is for you.
Here are a few of the topics we will cover in
the seminar:
Composition: Learn how to develop
a photographer's eye and spot great compositions
in the field. You will also learn how to arrange
the elements of a photograph to make a compelling
image.
Light: Learn how to find dramatic
and effective lighting. We will discuss tools
to modify light color, direction, and intensity,
including the use of reflectors and fill flash.
Exposure: You will learn how
to recognize and achieve proper exposure. Also,
find out how exposing film is different from exposing
digital images. We will teach you how to take
control of your camera by understanding your camera's
light meter and when to adjust your camera's recommended
exposure.
Digital: We will explore digital
imagery, digital workflow and digital processing.
Included are specific recommendations for cameras,
printers, scanners, and other supplies.
Equipment: Learn about the latest
digital cameras, lenses and other equipment. We
will share our experience in selecting tripods,
camera bags, and other gear for nature and outdoor
photography.
This seminar is for anyone with an interest in
outdoor, travel, nature, or landscape photography.
The lectures will assume a basic knowledge of
photographic concepts and are geared toward digital
